Steve Hutson, who lives in the UK, is hoping to build a scale model of Magga Dan (or her sister ship Thala Dan) and needs detailed drawings and/or photographs of either ship.
He hopes that someone who sailed in either ship to Antarctica may have photographs which could help him fill some blanks in his information files.
There are several areas of the ship the photographs he currently has do not show enough detail to enable an accurate model to be made, these areas are:
The anchor winch, the cargo winches, the stern winch, the boat davits and the interior of the 'crows nest'.
He also needs details of the hull lines showing the underwater shape of the hull (which are somewhat different to the normal run of ships).
