This short film clip was compiled from footage shot at Wilkes by Alan Campbell-Drury from ANARE HQ in Melbourne during the handover period in February 1959. It largely focuses on the activities of the Australians preparing to take over the running of the station.   Dr Philip Law's edited speech was only recorded in 2005, when he was 92, hence the laboured sound of his voice on the video.
