Many times during the year, this little quartet would gather in the anteroom off the mess armed with some home made percussion instruments, like beer bottle tops, bones, tea-chest base and empty flour tin.   A record would be put on and the combo, well lubricated with beer, would attempt to 'improve' the music with their syncopated beats.  On one occasion the proprieter and chief announcer of the station's local broadcast radio, Steve Grimsley and his "Radio Kold" recorded a session.   Attached is a short excerpt.
